has anyone here used any type of notebook cooler?

i have a MBP but my desk is located above a heater, so my machine gets really warm even though its placed on the desk. (the heat comes from underneath.)

any suggestions?

I use a pad with a kind of gel in it.
It starts of fairly hard then softens as it takes the heat.
Got it in Ebay.

Im a huge advocate of making your own. Some of the coolers out there cost a ton of money and I personally cant justify the price.

I have one that I got at Best Buy with USB ports that cost me about $45 and I'm pretty sure they have one without USB ports for about $25.

Coolers aren't really necessary if your worried about the the computer taking damage, just use something that separates it from the desk. If you put a gap of air in between the computer and desk that would work well.
