imac won't connect to internet

Hey guys I just bought two g4 imacs one of the imacs won't connect too the internet. I've never used a mac up to this point in my life. The guy I bought these I sorta trusted I had bought some other pc stuff from before but this is the risk with buying used hardware. So anyways, does any one have ideas as too how I can fix this issue?

There are any number of issues it could be.
In order to help you, we will need to know more about the software, hardware and connection type.

What OS are you running?
Are you running any sort of firewall?
What kind of internet connection is it... DSL, Cable, Satellite, Dial-up?
Have you tried different cables to connect it?
Do you have the computers networked?
If so, how are they networked?
What kind of router do you have... is it wired or wireless?
Have you ever been able to connect to the internet with this machine?
Have you tried Powercycling your setup?
