Hi all

I just got the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 speaker set for Christmas, and I am running into trouble trying to set them up with my Mac. The manual talks of sound cards and other technical jargon that I don't understand (however simple it may be). Are these speakers even meant for Macs?

Hi, welcome to Mac-Forums!

Congrats on getting the Klipsch set for Christmas, seen a review of those a few years back and they do look sweet!

Don't worry about the manual etc, just connect the cable from the Line-Out on your Mac to the back of the sub then wire up the speakers. Job done.

The speakers are compatible with any device that has the usual 3.5mm port on it so you could connect them to your iPod, Mac whatever. :)
