How to insert subtitles in movies and make dvd

Hello everyone,

I've got some .avi files and subtitles .srt I can watch them properly with chroma application, but I want to make a self contained movie, avi and srt together to make a dvd so I can watch on tv.
Is there a way to do that?
Please tell me what you do step by step..

I want to do that too.
I`ve tried Toast titanium 9, ffmpegX (it says the .avi file is unrecognized, that is, i would have to first convert the avi to mov...)
None of them worked
Is there a SIMPLE way to add selectable subtitles to a dvd movie???
In my PC i used ConvertXToDVD, i just added the avi file (with the srt file in the same folder) and thats it.

Please, i`m going crazy.
