• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Hi Everyone!

I took about 30 1-3 minute videos on my Kodak Z710 digital camera a few nights ago and was wondering how to get them on my Mac.

When I plug my camera in to the USB port on the back of my Mac, iPhoto automatically starts and imports the photos, but I have absolutely no idea how to import the videos.

My camera doesn't show up in 'devices' in Finder either, if that helps.

If anybody has any ideas or advice they could offer, they would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Tahiti1028 :)

iPhoto should import the videos as well, at least it does with my Canon cameras.

I'm using iPhoto '04 and the videos do not import. They are in the .mov format as well.

Ahh, 04. I'm using 08, perhaps the feature is lacking in the older version
