Hi all,

My Macbook pro is arriving tomorrow from Mac connection and I only get about 10 mins:( to check and make sure that all's well before Christmas day. I was a little nervous about ordering from the internet and some store I've never used before. Can anyone offer some advice on what I should look for to make sure everything's ok? I was told by "Santa" to just turn it on and make sure there aren't any obvious defects, like not starting. I am a pc user and know very little about macs except how awesome they are;D . ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Here is where I ordered if that helps... I hope I haven't made a mistake?
Mac Connection - MacBook Pro Intel Core 2 Duo 15" 2.4Ghz 2GB 200GB SuperDrive Matte Screen

Thanks in advance,
Meghan

I would check for dead pixels on the screen.

Run a verify disk in Disk Utility.

In ten minutes, those are two huge things to do.

And if you have time run update they usually don't come fully updated.
