Broken CD/DVD Drive- Microsoft Word help

I have an iBook G4 OSX10.4 but my optical drive is broken so I can't insert CD's. I bought the new Office Mac: 2008 for Home and Student but can't insert the CD to download it.

Is there a way to download Office online without having to pay for another product key?

You may be able to download a trial copy of Office 2008 from here:

Install the trial copy and then use your valid key to register it. However, you really should either get the drive replaced or buy an external drive. If you have to re-install OS X for any reason you will not be able without a working drive.
