I've just got off the phone to Apple having ordered my MacBook Pro 2.8, 4Gb, 320 7200 HD.

Ordering by phone saved me £200 and a free case versus the Apple on line store.

Anyway, I want to be prepared for when it arrives next week.

First thing, and I know this is anathema, how do I install XP for dual boot?

Secondly, having a slow connection, what should I start downloading?

Firefox is top of my list, what else do you recommend?

TIA

For installing XP, you can go the free route and use Boot Camp (which I do) or use Parallels or Fusion. Check around I'm sure there are a bunch of threads discussing the merits of each.
