Screen dump in DVD player

hey guys i was wondering whether there is anyway to do a screen dump whilst playing a dvd? if you put the dvd on pause and then do the screen dump. i tried the command + shift + 4 but couldnt do it that way. was wondering whether someone could please help me out here.

You wont be able to do that because your DVD is copyrighted and screen dump wont let you do that to copyrighted material if DVD player is open. I suggest purchasing or trying Snapz ProX if you want to take screen shots or even record movies off of DVD player.

you can rip the dvd, play the video_ts folder in dvd player, and screenshot that.

thankx for letting me know. i ended up finding a program through a guy whos into video editing (he has a mac too) and if anyone wanted to know the program is called DVD Capture thanks again to everyone
