I have the following options selected in Onyx->Automate:

Verify and Repair System File permissions
Execute all maintenance scripts
Optimize the System

Delete Internet and Caches and History

Delete System Caches Files (Clean)

Delete Archived Logs and CrashReporter

How can I be sure that these the maintenance and optimize run? Will I be able to see it if I don't delete the logs?

Do I need to run Optimize and the maintenance scripts manually? (I hope not. I hope that Automate will take care of things.)

Thanks.

You can see what is done in the OnyX logs - They do not get removed with the automation function.

Look here:

/Users/your user name/Library/Logs/

and here:

/Volumes/Macintosh HD/Library/Logs/

I ran the following in OnyX:

Daily scripts
Monthly Scripts
Optimize

I looked in the above folders for OnyX logs but did not find any.
