I am selling my imac and it has a bootcamp partition with windows XP. I want to completely reformat my hard drive so it is not split any more. Here is where I am...
I put the OS disk 1 in and restarted using the disk and not it is asking me "Select a destination volume to install the Mac OSX software" Which option do I choose to get rid of the partition and make my system back to its brand new. Sorry I am not the most savvy person in the world and I hope someone can make sense of this and give me an easy to read answer.

Thanks in advanced

Two steps:

1. Open Boot Camp Assistant, select create partition, select restore. Reboot. That takes care of the BC partition and gets you back to a single partition of OS X.

2. Boot the machine with your Leopard DVD disk one. Select Disk Utility. Select format partition, select single pass secure wipe. After finishing, reboot the machine with the Leopard DVD. Install a new copy of Leopard. Download the latest updates from Apple and install.

Your iMac is ready to sell.

Regards.
