Hi,

This might be a stupid question, but is there any way to find out if the airport extreme card in my macbook coreduo is compatible with the draft-n standard?

It's a plain old coreduo (NOT core2duo) and the the card itself is AirPort Extreme (0x168C, 0x86), the firmware version 1.4.8.0 if this is any help?

Sincerely,

Simon

No, the original MacBooks do not support 802.11n. The first MacBooks that do were the next revision, the first Core2Duo models:
They shipped with 802.11g enabled, but you could purchase a firmware upgrade to make them 802.11n compatible. (Or buy Leopard, which enables n automatically I think).
