Search problem

iMac 21" 2.4G 320G HD OS Snow Leopard. Win7 on Dell PC Inspiron i5 8g Ram 1TB HD
I use Yahoo as my home page, and when I enter an item to search, it goes to another page entirely different than the item I'm searching for.What causes this and how do I correct it? Thanks for any help. Van

Change your home page and use Google or any of the mhyriad of search engines available.

Yes, I can do that, but why doesn't the Yahoo search work like it should?
