• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

I currently use visualhub to convert all my avi movies to dvd. The is fine for single files around 700mb, it turns out as a 3.8gb iso image which I burn to dvd. If you have a better and more efficient technique please let me know.

The problem is that I want to burn 10 tv episodes to dvd and I dont want it to turn out 3.8gb. I want it to turn out higher for better quality and I will put it on a dl dvd.

Now the other thing I want to do is add a menu in the dvd so I can select which tv episode I want to watch.

Visualhub doesnt seem capable of performing this.

I'd recommend you take a look at Roxio's Toast. It can do exactly what you're looking for.

Yea Ive have toast 9 and whenever I convert a movie and play it on my tv it crops the picture by half.

Its hard to explain, from the middle of the screen to the botton is all blacked out and the picture only shows on the top half.
