Question about Time Capsule 500 Gb ?

Hi folks.

I have bought a Time Capsule 500 Gb, but I think it´s very slow.

It takes about 2 hours to copy 6 Gb of data, to the Time Capsule, and when I want to stream music og movies from it, it starts to "lag".

The movies I play, are NOT HD, just plain movies ripped from DVD´s. Even music lags.

Can some one help me, or has anyone had the same problems?

Are you connected to the TC via wireless or via ethernet?

If wireless, then try connecting via ethernet. This will help diagnose whether it is a wireless issue or another problem with the TC or your Mac.

I have now tried to connect my Macbook Pro to the TC with a cable, and it worked faster.

I timed a file being moved.

I moved 280 MB from my TC to my Mac.

Wireless: 4 minutes and 29 seconds
Cable : 1 minute and 19 seconds

Do I have a problem on my hands ???

Please help.
