Hi All,

Just bought my first Mac on OS X and bought VMWare fusion so I can run Windows Vista. I am trying to port my copy of Vista from my old PC to my new Mac but the conversion software appears to be making a virtual copy of my whole computer, files, everything. I only want to make a copy of the OS (Vista).

Can anyone help...

Thanks,

Craig.

You need the vista DVD. Open up VM fusion, tell it to create a new machine and follow the options, don't migrate your old machine.

That's exactly what it is designed to do...

I only want to make a copy of the OS (Vista).
Then you need to create a new VM image and do a fresh Windows install from a Vista DVD or ISO file.
