English To Chinese Translation

Hi

I have an old Mac G3 desktop running OS9.22. A friend asked me to go to one of those language translation website and translate English to Chinese. The result was a bunch of ???????????????? ?????? ?? for words.

I figure I must have not put in or removed something in my computer that would allow me to use the correct symbols or fonts. I've tried reconfiguring my Mozilla Browser to accept chinese without success.

What simple thing have I done?

My guess is that you don't have any chinese fonts available. You might be able to install them from the OS 9 Install CD; I don't remember. It's been so long....
