OK, I'm learning. That LaCie hub unit I suggested is the closest to what you've looked at, the only things missing are the ethernet and modem connectors.

The Kensington Dock sd200v Notebook Docking Station with Video doesn't have ethernet or modem either.

Question is - why not? Not considered necessary? Would be good to have all the peripherals into a dock, then one firewire cable only to a MacBook port.

well, I don't need the ethernet, or the video. it would be nice to have it be a powered dock so i can have my 2 usb ports and one firewire port be split in to a few. I would really like to have power for my mb too. i want some thing that it can sort of just slide it into to that i dont have to connect each one>

i cant seem to find how the LaCie hub connects to the mb

See this link LaCie - Hub - USB & FireWire Hub and mouse over the thumbnail pics for enlarged pics. See especially the sec-to-last one - I think that looks like a power supply. And then this LaCie Huby USB & FireWire Hub specs and Hub specifications - CNET Reviews
It definitely has a power supply for itself but not one for your MB. If it were me, I'd have a power extension cord/plug sitting right beside the LaCie for ease of accessibility. One USB2 A plug and one 1394 will be for connecting to the Mac. Superwarehouse seems to have the best price.

Sorry, Bluetooth technology is over my head. I've encountered it only once before and I seem to remember something in the Finder top menu bar. My best guess will be something in the SysPrefs > Bluetooth.

Neat! I'd love to have one but can't justify it. Post a pic of your setup once you've got it in place - you'll be the envy of the forums! :D
