When i start Windows in boot camp it sees my wireless network.
However when i try to connect it then says the network may not be in range.
The wirless router is about 4feet away.

It connects fine in OS X.

I'm using a Macbook (new) and Apple extreme wireless router.

Other Windows machines connect fine.

Have you tried re-installing the bootcamp drivers from the leopard CD?

Have you tried rebooting the router and/or modem.

Also what security protocol are you using?

WPA2 security protocol.
I don't know if the boot camp drivers support WPA2 by default...

You may want to downgrade or even turn off your wireless networks security and test to see if you computer will connect.
