Need Suggestions on External DVD Burner

I have an iBook g3 900mhz. Man I really want the new one but am short on money right now. Anyway im looking for a good cheap dvd burner. I found this one on ebay DVD Burner on eBay would that one work with my computer? Thanks in advance

I would look for a firewire burner. The throught put on the firewaire port is better than on an usb port. Plus if you get a good quality product it will last longer, since you will be using it on your upcomming new system. Also there are dual-layer burner becomming available now.

The other little thing you may want to look at is, that the majority of superdrive are comming from Pioneer. So you may want to look at get a drive that has and Pioneer drive inside. I have been told that LaCie uses Pioneer drives, but I don't know that for sure.

I think they may, I have a LaCie superdrive thats also dual layer, its the best.
