Hi all,

I have xp installed via bootcamp on my Macbook, using it through VMware as a new window the sound is fine, but when I boot up just in windows theres no sound. the Realtek HD driver is installed ( and I did try to download it again via the realtek site) but non of the DL links worked there.

Any advice, do you think its just a case of installing the driver? is there anywhere else I can get the correct driver. ( im not even 100% sure which driver I need)

Kind regards & thanks for any help in advance

The correct sound drivers are already on your Leopard disk, just re-install them from there. Have you checked to see if the drivers are already installed? Go to Control Panel, System, Hardware Devices, expand the hardware tree and right click on the sound device. Select properties and check the driver.

It could be you don't have the sound levels set up correctly in Windows.

Regards.
