Partition question

I'm getting a copy of win xp tomorow, I plan to use bootcamp to install it. When I create a partition for win and install it, will I have to format my hdd? Thanks in advance.

Read this document: Boot Camp Installation & Setup Guide.pdf

Print it out and have it in front of you before running Boot Camp. :)
