Oh no, what printer for Mac?

Recently when I was still using PC I bought a Canon LBP2900 printer, but then my nerves got burned with Windows for the last time and i switched complitely to Apple and bought iMac.

Now I learned, that the printer was only for Windows and there is no Mac driver for it. This sucks! Now I know I could use bootcamp, but I don´t want to switch to Windows everytime I need to print something.

So I´m searching a good printer for Mac. Price around 100e is my budjet, black&white printer is also fine with me, I only print text. Any recommendations?

Have you tried selecting the built in Cannon Printer Driver in OSX?

I've got an OfficeJet G85xi. But when I go to http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=219&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=58305&lang=en, it's hard to tell which drivers I should download for my X 10.5.4 iMac. Any suggestions?

This doesn't respond exactly to your question, but for good, reliable, mono laser printing with Mac compatibility, I wouldn't go past Brother. Assuming you're in the US, the HL2040 retails for US$80, the HL2140 for $100 (with $20 rebate).

Just bought one vey nice and not much bigger than some inkjets.

Isn't it typical hughvane the way we non US residents get ripped off. Here in Australia HL2040 RRP is $299.00 and the cheapest from Brother themselves at $199.00.
