I'm thinking of getting a new CD burner (i can't burn discs on my current one - but that's another thread!) and I figure that I might as well get something that can burn and play DVDs. But I'm concerned that my relatively slow computer may not make it worth it. I've got an iMac G3 running at 400 mhz with about 640mb of RAM.
I plan on using it mostly for burning audio CDs and DVDs for storage. However, I've been dabbling in iMovie and would perhaps like to make slideshows and short films and maybe view some DVD's on the computer as well.
Is the old iMac up to the task?
