When a cell phone (verizon g'zOne Boulder) says it will sync with a pc to transfer music will it work with a mac too?

Not necessarily - but sometimes you can find drivers for iSync that will help it along. Usually it's just a matter of Googling the model number and "iSync" together. In my case, HowardForums had both a plug-in and instructions for my Verizon W755.

My phone isn't currently supported by iSync, but there was a $5 third party driver available online that works beautifully so that is also always an option.
