microsoft office upload on g3

Hi all, just recently switch. Picked up Apple iMac ($120 with matching colour printer, very nice desk) G3-350MHz, updated OS X 10.4.11 (Tiger), 2 sticks 512 mb ram (pc133,pc100), external hd 500gb
Inventory:

As a second comp, the cost I think is feasible. This was primarily for the kids, but I find myself being planted in front of it.

Question is, I would like to upload ms office 2007 home and student edition, all the system requirements are met but the processor. It is recommended for G4 and above. Would this work/stable on this machine?

Office 2007 is the Windows version, I think you mean Office 2008? Office 2008 might install OK but may not run or run very slow. IOW, sub-standard performance. Give it a try, you can always uninstall it.

Office 2004 would run very well on the iMac. Should you get kernel panic attacks, look to remove the PC100 memory module.

Cool I actually found on CL $20 for office 2004. Im not familiar with memory module.
