I have recently removed my hard drive from my dead PC laptop and wish to purchase an enclosure so that I can transfer the data from the hard drive to my new Mac. Are all enclosures able to do this or can someone recommend a specific one for this purpose.

Also, will I need to reformat my hard drive in order to convert files from PC to Mac? If so, will I lose all of my files?

Your Mac's Specs
iMac Core i5(3.6 GHz) 8 GB RAM, MBP C2Duo(2.4 GHz) 4 GB RAM, MB C2Duo(2.4 GHz) 2 GB RAM
your PC HD was probably NTFS. mac's can read NTFS but they cant write to them, so you should be able to transfer the files onto your mac HD, but not edit them while they are on the PC HD or move files to the PC HD. Once you transfer all of your files you should reformat the drive to HFS+

I could be horribly wrong, someone please correct me if I am.
