I have flip4mac. When I play a avi file the screen is white and no sound. When I play a asf file I dont have any sound. I am teacher and I am making the switch. I really need to get these files working for my classroom

I restarted the computer and got the avi files working the asf files still have no sound

You have Flip4Mac installed and the .asf files aren't working? You don't by any chance also have Windows Media Player installed, do you? It can cause some nasty conflicts. If you're comfortable using players other than QuickTime, I'd recommend MPlayer or VLC.

Can you play the files using VLC (tell us if you can)

Discerptor got there before me, but if VLC can play it, it can also re-encode the asf file to a better format
