• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

SEARCHED AND SEARCHED AND SEARCHED AND SEARCHED

Can't find one anywhere. I downloaded some files but they are rm movie files. They say they can play in MPlayer but they can't. Is there an app out there I can get to makes the .rm files to .avis or.mpg or dot something?

You can download real player to play them and use a SnapZPro (think thats its name) to capture the video as .mov

I have used Cleaner 6 for quite some time, and you can't encode a rm file to any other format. Real Player has a proprietary format and will not allow cleaner to access the file. Cleaner can convert quicktime files or other non-proprietary files into Real Player files, but not the other way around.
