I am using a Windows and a flash drive to install files on my mac because as of this point my MacBook doesn't have internet access. I have been downloading dmg files, but when I bring the to my MacBook, they open as if it is another flash drive. How do I get them permanently on my computer?

When you double-click on the drive icon, it should open either an installer (double-click to run/install) or an icon that if you click on it just runs the program. In the first case the application will install itself. In the second case you need to drag the icon from the folder into your Applications folder.

A lot of times they'll include a shortcut to your Applications folder in the window that opens up, otherwise it helps to have it down on your dock so you can drag directly to it.

I didn't understand it at first to
It seems that All Mac Applications are "Portable"
You just have to open the DMG(Will mount as an drive)
And drag the application where you want it, I prefer Applications folder
And if you want to deinstall an application just move to trash
But how come you don't have internet
If your windows PC has internet your macbook definitely also can have internet
Same cable and same wifi it can connect to as a windows pc

But I suppose you have a Cable then,
Because the normal network cable does fit in your macbook
