How do you start Skype automatically?

Unlike most people who seem to want to disable the Skype auto start on login, I actually want to enable it but can't.

I have gone to System Preferences, Accounts, Login Items and can see Skype there in the list, the box is not checked to hid it and I also have it ticked on the dock to open at login.

When I start my mac, Skype does not auto start.

What am I doing wrong?

Try deleting the old one and adding it again?

Hi, thanks - I just deleted the original application and re downloaded from Skype website and this time it has worked.
