i just got VMware fusion, and dreaded the day i booted windows again, but its been two months i've been waiting for the 1.5 patch of battlefield 2142 for mac. i can still play, but only with the 1.4 users, which is a small group of dudes. so my question is this; how much of a performance hit will i take running BF2142 through Fusion? i run a mac book pro with intel core2duo processor (2.4Ghz) 2G ram, and geforce 8600M GT. would use boot camp but i have only about 7G of free space. :(

Maybe with your specs the hit won't be too bad, but there'd definitely be some performance hit. Give it a shot. ;)

Yeah, like NPuter said, I have a Macbook Pro and use Boot Camp when I want to play games. But I have Fusion installed when I just need to run Windows apps (outside of gaming) but want to keep OS X up.
