Hey Guys,

So I recently activated a 1st generation iPhone, but when I try to access my voicemail, it asks me for a voicemail code. Does anyone know where to find this code?

Thanks

go to the phone app, hit the voicemail tab on bottom, and it should walk you through the process. Otherwise check settings/phone

Yessir, I am using AT&T, and there is a setup process. However during that process it asks me to enter my voicemail number, and I have no idea what that is.

It might also be helpful that my sim was already in use in the (at the time) iPhone before I activated it with AT&T

What exactly is it asking you? Is it welcoming you to the voicemail system or is it asking for a password?

Did you already have AT&T? It is asking you for YOUR password that you made up for your voicemail.

I had this problem and had to wind up going to the Apple Store so they could redo my voicemail box. Not very long but just annoying.

If it's asking for a "temporary password", type in the last 4 digits of your mobile #.

I had to go to the AT&T web sight, log into my account and go and reset my voice mail password. They sent me a text to the phone with the temp password and then I was able to get in and set it to what I wanted.
