mac os 9 won't connect to internet

On my G4 Cube, I cannot get on the internet (or anything that uses the internet). It connects to my router over ethernet (DHCP and static IP), but it does not show any pages or anything like that (software that uses the internet doesn't work either). I just reinstalled Mac OS 9, and it worked before, but now it doesn't. It also works fine in Mac OS X and under classic. Any ideas?
