backup question

Hi when backing up pictures, do I simply copy the iphoto library icon to the backup disk? it's showing a huge size but I can't see the subfolders... thanks

You got it! Its basically a package of all your photos, along with the information needed to tag and organize them etc. You could view the originals inside by control-clicking it and selecting: view package contents.....but i wouldnt recommend it, you can mess things up in there.
