Can someone please tell me am I going to be hit with a whole bunch of ball-busters if I upgrade from Tiger to Leopard?

I have dozens of applications that I use regularly, and I don't really want to shell out for the latest upgrades on all of them ie Quark Xpress, Dreamweaver etc all in one hit. It's also the time element don't want to spend the next week farting around with upgrades. Will the versions of most software that run on Tiger also run on Leopard?

Most probably

But it is always best to superduper your drive in case you want to move back to tiger, or do an archive and install

The two you mentioned have a free patch available from their websites.

99% of programs work. Some have small bugs which can be fixed with patches.
