i went to the apple store right by me to buy myself an isight today and they hadnt gotten their store G5's yet. the guy said hopefully today if not tomorrow. i know im gonna be there tomorrow messin around with it for a few hours

The four stores near me are about 45 minutes away (Costa Mesa, CA.; Glendale, CA.; Los Angeles, CA.; Pasadena, CA.)

At least yours are close... :-( Mine are 4 or more hours away (McLean VA, Arlington VA, or Durham NC) At least the local best buy has macs, hopefully they will get a G5 in a couple of weeks.

I am am not bragging, mine are just freeway close.

If I had the time and money I would pay a visit. But unfortunately I am in home maintenance mode. :(

yeah i know, i was trying to get some sympathy and maybe convince everyone to help me convince apple to build an apple store closer.

I configured a system online and it came out to about $4900. That was a bit more than I wanted to spend, but the thing is so sexy, I need it ;-)

Yeah, but ordering from Apple.com there is a 7-10 week wait I've heard. Patience then becomes a virtue haha.
