help with frontrow

Ok ive searched guys...so please dont give me the "use search next time" crap! LOL

Here's the deal, my iMac's hard drive crapped out, until i get the money to have a new one installed im using an external as my boot drive....I understand how to create alias' for Front Row movies, but i cant get my darned music in iTunes to play! whats the deal? any help would really be appreciated...oh yeah....im running leopard.

File> Import doesn't work?

everything is fine in iTunes......front row just doesnt see the songs for some reason it says "front row cannot find any songs, please import using itunes or itunes music store"
