Hello,

I bet this has been throughly answered before somewhere...but I cannot find it.

SO I just bought a Yamaha keyboard (YPT-210) and a the Yamaha USB-MIDI Interface UX16 . But I am having trouble with it and garageband. I try to record what I am playing and it does not show up. I have it plugged in and when I bring up garageband it says that one imput is available.

I am also new to Mac's so I am def. confused and overwhelmed.

HELP! I do not know how to do anything...

did you install the driver for it? I dont think you really needed to buy the program. I have a Yamaha DGX-203 Portable Grande, and all I did was plug it in and install the driver for it.

Is there an option for "PC Mode"? If so, activate that and go to either "PC1" or "PC2"

Aha! This sounds suspiciously similar to my problem (keyboard won't work with GB). I installed the (Eidorol PCR-30) drivers and everything. Suspect that I'll need a MIDI cable.
