External HD backup??

I have a 500 GIG external HD, how can I make at least a part of it bootable? Thanks for any assisitance. Van

Not sure this is what you mean, but if you use a backup program called SuperDuper, it will make your saved backup fully bootable. If you're talking about using the external to contain a bootable OS, don't think that can be done. You can partition the external using Disk Utility and put SuperDuper on one partition, something else on the other(s)...
