New User, Please Help

Are there any good books or websites that help new Mac OS users? I'm new to Leopard and I'm getting frustrated. How do I change icons? I'm trying to transfer pictures from my thumb drive to my picture folder. I tried clicking on the Mac hard drive on my desktop, but I don't see a picture folder. What is the easiest way. Thanks

Click on "Finder" in the left of your Dock and on the sidebar you should see Pictures.

Best guide by far is Mac OS X Leopards Edition - The Missing Manual by David Pogue. Got mine from Amazon and at a very good price. Check second hand publications there.
