I partitioned 32 GB for windows on my macbook, and when I was about to install a newer service pack (it wouldnt install the drivers until i did) it said that i did not have enough disk space. I checked and noticed that I only have 2 GB of free space now, and I havent used the windows partition for anything yet. What's going wrong, and what should I do?

Quasar,

I don't understand that. I also have a 32 GB partition for Windows (XP) for my Macbook and I just checked it... after installing XP in Parallels and installing Office 2007, Paint Shop Pro and some other small apps into XP, I still have 20+ GB left.

Are you using Vista by chance? That does take more room, but I wouldnt think that much.

Try going to Disk Utility and verify and repair that Windows partition, see if that helps...

Not sure what else to suggest. Just one other thing not necessarily related to Windows, but do you keep your main drive cleaned up with a utility like Onyx or MainMenu? Maybe that would help...

Good luck, maybe someone else here has a better answer,

Noel

To the OP:

Read the following MSKB article and pay special attention to the section about not having enough space to install SP3:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950717

Apparently a known issue by MS. Nothing new there! :Angry-Tongue:

Regards.
