running Windows on a 1GHz eMac?

You can only run Boot Camp, Parallels or Fusion on an intel-based Mac, AFAIK. There are some other software emulators that may run on your G4-based Mac, you might search the forum for suggestions. But they will likely be slow.

Right. You need an Intel Mac to actually be able to install/boot Windows as a separate operating system. Since an eMac is a PPC Mac, your only option is to use emulation within OS X.

And yes, its usually very slow.

Don't bother. Virtual PC is pretty unstable and as advised above oh so s-l-o-w.

as harryb2448 said, don't even bother, it will be like running windows on a 100 mhz pentium
