How do I empty out all the applications, documents etc that show in the Today, Yesterday, Past Week sidebar of Finder without actually deleting the items?

Thanks

I'm not sure. You could get rid of those by going to Finder> Preferences> Sidebar and unchecking boxes though.

Today, yesterday, past week etc are smart folders or whatever they call them. It autmatically searches and files you've opened in the past day, week etc. As far as I'm aware you can't delete the the results. You're just going to have to delete the smart folders themselves
