We are going to be moving to a new server on Sunday afternoon. I will initiate the transfer sometime before 5PM EST and we should be at the new server NO LATER than 5PM EST on Monday. The old site will be closed, with directions on how to get to the new site until it has propogated acress the net.

The new server is WAY faster than the one we have now, and will prove to be a much better performer for us here at Mac-Forums.com.

So be aware, and we will see what happens on Sunday :)

Hi hokiethang,
If my information is correct (and Emrys please correct me if it's wrong), the move has temporarily been delayed due a DNS issue. I believe the move will be happening in the very near future.

Yeah, we are having some DNS issues. So the server move will probably be this weekend coming up. I need to schedule down time :) Which isn't fun. I need to be able to be around when things go wrong. But that is the way it is in computerland. I will definately make an announcement when things get back on track.

As of now, everything looks like it is a go for the server move. This will take place on Friday ( I am planning :) ). I figured it was a low traffic night, and people could find other things to do :)

You should be able to log into the new server by IP, until the domain propogates. This isn't set in stone, and this might not be possible.

I will keep you updated as things progress.

Everything worked OK :)

We are now on the new server.

Let me know if you see anything funky going on.
