So I just bought the base model macbook this afternoon. I didn't feel the need to get one with a larger drive, because I just bought a 250gb laptop drive a few weeks ago... So now I'm taking all my stuff off of it, and I'll be wiping it.

What is the best way to go about making this my mac's new drive? Should I just put it in and do a fresh install? Or should I use something to clone the drive? I have Norton Ghost on my PC... but I've never cloned a mac drive, so I don't know if there's anything different about it...

Thanks for any help!

Probably best to just put in the new drive and do a fresh install. I don't think Windows utilities such as Ghost will be able to clone (or even recognize) a Mac drive.

Ok. Not a big deal since I don't have much configuration done on it yet ;-)

And I'm assuming the 2 discs that came with it have all the bundled software... ilife, etc..?

Those restore disks will put it back to the state it came when you bought it
