I were to make a forum that everyone could use what would you suggest it included.

I can make multi sections so more than one point of interest can be available.

I would like it to be a friendly place where people can relate to one another and also discuss topics they like so gaming people have there own section and music people too and people can visit any section to have a look at what is happening at latest.

All suggestions are welcome and I will be working on making this forum known across many kinds...

Sanity's point is a good one. It's hard to make a place where EVERY topic is appropriate. People do come to Mac-Forums just to chat about anything in their lives, but the interest in Apple is what brings them together as a whole. Common gound, if you will.

I love Macs, I am in the military/want to be a cop when I get out of college, and I love guns. Therefore, I am part of a mac forum (this one) and a weapons forum (covers the other two interests). That would be quite a place to cater to all three enough that people of those different fields would want to come and stay.

It truly depends on the subject matter you intend to carry. Or are you looking at an off topic type forum?

One suggestion, is not covering something in the same way its already being covered, like attempting to duplicate this site. Originality, is an asset.

I thought it would be cool if there was a forum made by the people for the people being a main source of chosen subject, I dont mean anything on my forum is the new hip thing but it will share with a wide audience what people are into and if people are interested at looking at other kinds of hobbies then they are already welcome to browse another section.

I apologize if I came off as negative. I believe that I somewhat understand your intentions. Like iMac-Knight said, it needs to be original. Do you mean that users will have a hand in creating sections? That sounds kind of cool, however you plan on implementing it. Let me know if you further your plans anyway, I'd check it out for you.

Basically anyone that joins makes the forum, there is a chat box at the top which is open for chat to me about making new sections.

Also if people feel that another section is needed for a certain subject I will make it for them and as long as it brings more people or as long as it gets used I have no problem with making any subject available for discussion.

Obviously porn and anything explicit will be prohibited as we do not want the younger audience getting me into trouble saying they some rude/dirty/naughty thing on my forums.

Yeap that is the forum for now, I am still planning out many more sections on paper figuring out the main points of attraction but as soon as they are stable I shall also be adding them onto this forum.

there is a section on the forum where you can post your own ideas and I will read them and add them.

looks good i am going to make a couple of suggestions. the colors you are using in your FAQ section (alternating dark gray light gray) makes it hard to read due to font color blending in.

you may also want to include an what is appropriate/not appropriate or rules section

@sanity - the FAQ is a preset made one of which I cant change unless I re-code the whole forum which will take too long.

@everyone - is there anything else you think should be added to bring more interest to more people?

I am open to taking on new moderators and making the forums open to a wider audience.

Joining this forum and advertising it to other people would be a great help and would be really nice.

I would like for this project to be real unsuccessful, do a fellow mac user a favor :p please?
