Viewing CPU Usage

I've seen screenshots showing CPU and other usage charts. How can I view what's going on inside my Mac. Thanks in advance!

The built-in way is to use Activity Monitor located in /Applications/Utilities

Open the terminal (go to spotlight and type in terminal, or find it in Applications/Utilies

Type in 'top" into the terminal, and this gives you a list. IMO, it gives a far more accurate reading than iStat, and is easier to take text from than Activity Monitor.

FWIW, I use the MenuMeters app. It can show you cpu, memory, network, harddrive, each selectable.

Ditto again. MenuMeters is the way to go IMHO. I have been using it for over two years and would not be without it.
