I didnt know if anyone knew about this, cause its been out for a while I think. But I will post it for everyone that didnt.

If you go to meebo.com with your iPhone, you can type in your S/N and password, and instant message from your iPhone. Its a webapp, so you can add it to your home screen for quick use, no hacking and no jailbreaking of any sort required.

Edit: I also am going to try flick.im to see whats better

lol, when I read the Thread name, I thought it was a question.

I was gonna recommend Meebo for IM on the iPhone. Use it whenever I'm not at my mac.

for jail-broken iPods, use Apollo IM

Meebo is a truly great IM messenger, only used it once (on friends iPhone)

I've found mobileChat to be a bit nicer than Apollo:

I agree with Apt, Mobile Chat has surpassed Apollo in terms of ease of use and design.

Can't wait for an actual AIM or iChat client that stays connected all the time.

oh I think the IM he meant was the IM we do on yahoo, msn, aol etc. If that is the case there is a world of difference between IM and texting. For starters you need wifi for IM though edge seems to do ok with certain clients. For texting you just need the handheld and ofcouese some kind of messaging package.

its 1:10am here and i am like a zombie looking for i dont know what in my garage.

Sync to iPhone.

From activation to sync, iTunes makes your iPhone go. Activate iPhone from the comfort of your home. Then sync everything ring tones, music, video, photos, contacts, calendars, email accounts, even bookmarks and manage it all from the iPhone summary screen in iTunes.

Personally, I don't like having to rely on the browser to be able to chat. I just use IM forwarding and am able to send and receive IMs as easily as I send and receive text messages! Makes life sweet!
