Add folder to Finder

I would like to add a folder to Finder. IE: my doc's.
Is there a way to add it to the places section under OS X 10.5.2.

Sorry if it has been answered. Could not find it with a search.

No Help. I want to add it to finder. Not the dock.

IE: in finder when you go to find or command+f there is a list on the left side showing locations. I wish to add a folder to that drop down under places.

you can just drag the folder over there and drop it between the others im pretty sure.
